The sacraments are efficacious signs of grace, instituted by Christ and entrusted to the Church, by which divine life is dispensed to us. The visible rites by which the sacraments are celebrated signify and make present the graces proper to each sacrament. They bear fruit in those who receive them with the required dispositions.
~Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1131
Baptisms are held at 2 pm on Saturdays. Baptism is the most important moment of our life. Infants should be baptized preferably before the child is born. Parents need to be registered in the parish, pledge to raise the child as a practicing Catholic, and must also be practicing the faith by attending Holy Mass every Sunday. Godparents are considered Catholic role models. Therefore, they must have be attending Holy Mass every Sunday. If they are married, they must have received the sacrament of Holy Matrimon register for the class and bring a copy of the child’s birth when it becomes available.
