Welcome to St. Michael Catholic School!

St. Michael Catholic School is a SACS accredited PreK-8 Catholic school. We welcome families from all religious, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds into our school community.   We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing learning environment with strong academics and a faith-based curriculum. By emphasizing strong values and focusing on our Catholic foundation, St. Michael encourages each student to become a better citizen in today’s world.

Catholic education strives to educate the whole child: spiritually, emotionally, socially, intellectually, artistically, and physically. Our Religion curriculum follows that of the General Catechetical Directory. In all other areas of the curriculum, Saint Michael aligns itself with the Standard Course of Study as outlined by the State of North Carolina.  Our curricular and co-curricular programs are designed to instill a reverence for God and all his creation, and to affirm the rich diversity of our students, families, teachers, and priests, while building positive community involvement.

At St. Michael Catholic School, we create ideal conditions for learning and leadership to flourish. In addition to the core curriculum, instruction in art, computer science, library science, music, physical education, and Spanish is offered at every level. Latin is offered to our middle school students. Subjects are departmentalized in the middle school to prepare our students in grades 6 to 8 for high school. We are proud of our students’ academic achievement.

St. Michaels offers clubs such as BETA, science, robotics, math, chess, computers, gardening, drama and more. Our Athletic Director supports sports programs such as soccer, cross country, golf, basketball, volleyball, cheer, PEP squad and archery.

As partners in education, we welcome and encourage parent participation, and there are numerous opportunities to be involved in the school. St. Michaels has an active PTO that works in partnership with our faculty to ensure that students have the resources to enrich and support academics, as well as clubs.

St. Michaels also encourages a relationship with parishioners at St. Michael Catholic church. There are many opportunities for students and parishioners to interact and build a partnership in faith and sharing.

Please view our website to see all of the wonderful happenings at St. Michael Catholic School. If you would like to visit our school, please contact the school office to make arrangements. Thank you for your interest in St. Michael Catholic School.

Prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel

St. Michael

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil; may God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the Divine Power, thrust into Hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
